About Me

Allison Rose
I've been blessed with an amazing grandma, Nanny, who loves to subscribe to as many magazines as she can for herself and for me. I get Better Homes, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal & Good Housekeeping. Not to mention the Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray, Southern Living, etc.I get from dear old Nanny herself when I visit. All this to say, I've got more tips on better living at my disposal than JCPenney's got sales. What's my motivation, you ask? 7 years ago I did a Bible study with a Proverbs 31 group on an Elizabeth George book entitled "A Woman After God's Own Heart" During which we were asked to write out the type of woman we wanted to be in 10 years. Using the passage from Proverbs 31, I assembled a list of attributes I wanted to display & the kind of woman, wife, mother, friend I wanted to be. While I have an A+ in a few of my goals, I am seriously lacking in others. I figured this blog would be a way for me to hold myself accountable for reaching the rest. i.e. 1 of my goals was to create a home that was inviting & Christ-centered, which can't occur if it's cluttered & messy hence the compilation of de-cluttering tips from many a magazine. You see?
